Aloe Vera - our natural treasure

Aloe Vera – unser Schatz aus der Natur

"Queen of Medicinal Plants", "Nature's Miracle Drug", "Plant of Immortality" - all names associated with the aloe vera plant.

The first records of the juice of the plant are around 6000 years old and it is said that Cleopatra - the beauty queen par excellence - used the precious elixir for her beauty routine.

The aloe vera gel is one of the main components of our biomembrane masks - and not without reason.

But what is so special about our aloe?

First we use the so-called Aloe Vera Barbadensis Miller, by far the richest of its kind. Its high acemannan (also aloverose) content far exceeds that of its conspecifics.

The following applies: the higher the acemannan content, the higher the density and quality of the active ingredients in the plant.

Conventional cosmetic products usually contain aloe from North or South America, which is not only very harmful to the environment due to the long transport routes, but also results in poor quality.

American manufacturers advertise that their plants contain 700-800 mg acemannan per liter. We counter this: Our Mediterranean aloe has an unsurpassed value of approx. 1700 mg/l.

Why is that? Scientists suspect that the many sunny days, the rich Mallorcan soil, but also the colder days in winter, against which the plant has to defend itself, mean that the plant has to strengthen itself from the inside out and thus produce more aloverose.

What is aloverose (acemannan) actually good for?

Aloverose is produced by the plant to protect itself from bacteria and viruses. The same happens when applied to the skin! The essential oils contained in the active ingredient have an anti-inflammatory effect, while glycosides and saponins have an antiseptic and cleansing effect.

Countless vitamins and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, zinc and selenium even penetrate the deep layers of the skin thanks to the lignin (a plant molecule) contained in the juice.

In addition, cell division in the skin is accelerated by using aloe vera gel. For this reason, aloe vera gel is also a popular ingredient in medicine.

All this makes the plant a true miracle cure for blemishes, acne, puffiness, dry skin and wrinkles.

Through the careful harvesting by hand, the fast and gentle further processing as well as the avoidance of pesticides, we can guarantee that our biomembrane masks with the the best aloe vera gel currently on the market.
