In recent years, hyaluronic acid has become an indispensable part of most people's care routines. The ingredient can be found in creams, serums, masks, body lotions and countless other care products. One gram of hyaluron can store up to an unbelievable 10 liters of water and is therefore extremely moisturizing. Hyaluronic acid is also indispensable in aesthetic medicine and you can even have the miracle cure injected under the skin as a "filler". But what exactly is hyaluronic acid? Hyaluronic acid is a sugar-like compound produced by the body. It contributes to the friction-free mechanics and stability of joints, keeps the eyes moist and ensures smooth and elastic skin. However, the self-production of hyaluronic acid decreases from the age of 20. Around the age of 50 it is only half as high as during youth. As a result, the skin no longer appears plump and firm, wrinkles deepen and the general aging process of the skin accelerates. This can be counteracted with the regular use of hyaluronic acid. Does size really matter? When it comes to hyaluronic acid, then yes! There are three different types of hyaluronic acid. They all vary in size and effectiveness. 1. The high-molecular / long-chain hyaluronic acid This is the hyaluron with the largest molecules and therefore only penetrates to the top layer of skin. Thus, there are no long-lasting results. 2. The low-molecular / short-chain hyaluronic acid Due to its lower molecular mass, this hyaluronic acid is more effective and reaches the middle layers of the skin. Results last longer. 3. The oligo-hyaluron / microchain hyaluronic acid The oligo-hyaluron consists of microscopically small molecules that penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin and are stored there. With regular use, it leaves long-term results and plumps up the skin from the inside out. As you can see, the smaller the molecular structure, the more effective the hyaluronic acid. Although many brands advertise that they use hyaluronic acid in their products, it is usually only the less effective, weak forms. At 48grams we only use highly concentrated oligo-hyaluron, which is the most valuable and effective hyaluronic acid there is. With this precious active ingredient, our hyaluronic biomembrane mask becomes a real anti-aging heroine. Application: If you use hyaluron in the form of a serum, it is important that you make sure that your face is still damp after washing so that the molecules can bind the liquid and absorb it into the skin. In addition, after using hyaluron serums - optionally also our hyaluronic biomembrane mask - you should apply a fat-based cream to seal the moisture in your skin. If you haven't yet incorporated liquid gold into your skincare routine, it's about time! After the first application you will notice how your skin really absorbs the elixir and your complexion looks more radiant and vital. Regular use of oligo-hyaluron increases the moisture content of your skin, wrinkles and sagging skin are visibly reduced. Discover our entire 48Grams range of hyaluronic acid face masks.
